Engagements
Three Engagements. Three Clear Outcomes.
Each Foldward engagement is scoped to produce a specific set of physical deliverables. You choose the sheet that fits where your family's papers currently are.

How Foldward Approaches Every Engagement
Scope First, Work Second
Every engagement opens with a written scope note agreed before any document is touched. The family knows what they will receive before the first session begins.
Clerical Only — No Interpretation
Foldward sorts, labels, indexes and binds. We do not value, advise, or interpret. Where the work requires professional expertise, we name the type of practitioner and point to the directory.
Physical Deliverables Every Time
Each engagement ends with something the family can hold, file, or hand directly to a practitioner. Reports without deliverables are not our model.
Sheet 01 · RM 455 · 90 minutes
Two-Column Orientation
A ninety-minute session that produces one sheet dividing the family's tasks into those they can organise themselves and those that require a qualified professional. Foldward informs and separates; it never advises on the second column and never performs work that belongs there.
This engagement is the starting point for families who are not yet sure what they have, what they need, or what type of practitioner to approach. The session does not require documents to be sorted in advance.
- Printed two-column orientation sheet
- Glossary of inheritance and estate terms used in Sabah
- Document checklist commonly requested by practitioners
- Directory of registered practitioners in Sabah
Process
- 1Appointment confirmed by phone or email
- 2Family brings whatever papers they currently hold
- 3Session: tasks mapped to two columns, questions answered in scope
- 4Printed sheet, glossary, checklist and directory handed to family
Sheet 02 · RM 1,340 · 4 weeks, 2 appointments
Portfolio Build
Two appointments across four weeks in which the family's papers are sorted, indexed, labelled and mirrored to storage the family controls. The engagement is delivered as a bound portfolio with a contents page.
The four-week span is deliberate: it gives families time to locate papers that surface after the first session. The gap between appointments is a working interval, not waiting time. Clerical organisation only — no valuation or interpretation of any item.
- Bound portfolio with contents page and dividers
- Written gap list of missing or incomplete documents
- Naming convention guide
- Maintenance sheet for keeping the portfolio current independently
Process
- 1Scope note agreed and signed before first appointment
- 2First session: papers sorted, initial index prepared
- 3Gap interval: family gathers additional papers identified in session one
- 4Second session: indexing complete, digital mirror prepared
- 5Bound portfolio, gap list and maintenance sheet delivered to family
Sheet 03 · RM 3,760 · 4 months, monthly reviews
Register, Chronology & Handover
A four-month engagement producing an indexed register of the family's own documents, a dated chronology drawn only from them, provenance notes where evidence exists in the family's papers, and a neutral summary sheet written for a qualified professional.
No valuation, advice, interpretation or correspondence in anyone's name. This engagement is suited to families with a larger body of documents, a longer family history, or a more complex mix of document types. Monthly reviews keep the work on track and give the family a regular point of contact.
- Indexed register by document type
- Dated chronology drawn from the family's papers only
- Provenance notes where evidence exists
- Neutral summary sheet for a qualified professional
- Bound pack and digital mirror
- Practitioner directory for Sabah and Labuan
Process
- 1Scoping appointment to assess volume and type of documents
- 2Month one: document intake, initial sorting and register structure
- 3Months two–three: chronology built, provenance notes prepared
- 4Month four: summary sheet drafted, digital mirror set up
- 5Handover appointment: bound pack and all deliverables passed to family

Standards
Protocols Shared Across All Engagements
Written Scope Before Any Work
A scope note agreed by both parties before the first session. Changes to scope are proposed in writing.
PDPA-Compliant Handling
Document handling follows Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act practices. No documents shared with third parties. Digital mirrors go to family-owned storage only.
Originals Never Marked
All annotations appear on labels and index sheets, not on documents themselves. Fragile items are handled in protective sleeves throughout.
Clear Professional Limits in Writing
Every engagement note states explicitly what Foldward does and does not do. The limit is written into the deliverables, not just mentioned verbally.
Data Deleted After Engagement
Foldward does not retain copies of documents beyond the engagement period. All working copies are deleted after the family receives the digital mirror.
Fixed Rates, No Mid-Engagement Charges
Pricing is stated before work begins. Any scope change is discussed and agreed in writing before it affects the cost.
