What We Offer

Three Sheets. Three Clear Tasks.

Why Foldward

What a Well-Kept Portfolio Changes

Papers That Can Be Found

A document buried in a drawer costs time when it matters most. Indexed, labelled papers reach the right hand promptly.

Clerical Work Done Ahead

Practitioners charge for their expertise, not for sorting boxes. A portfolio that arrives in order keeps professional time on the matters that count.

A Clear Picture of What Exists

Families often discover gaps — missing titles, undated letters — only when those gaps have become problems. An early gap list raises questions while there is still time to answer them.

Shared Understanding Between Siblings

A single portfolio that everyone can read reduces the friction that arises when each family member holds a different version of events.

Boundaries Kept in Writing

Every engagement note records what Foldward did and what it did not do — so the family always knows which column the work sits in.

Storage the Family Controls

Digital mirrors go to accounts the family owns. Nothing is held on Foldward's systems beyond the engagement period.

Questions

Frequently Asked

What does Foldward actually do with our documents?
Foldward performs clerical organisation only — sorting, labelling, indexing and mirroring papers to storage you control. We do not value assets, provide legal advice, offer financial guidance, or correspond on anyone's behalf. The boundary between what a family can manage themselves and what requires a registered practitioner is kept clear at every step.
Which session should we start with?
If you are unsure where your papers stand, the Two-Column Orientation is the natural first step — it maps what you have and names what a practitioner will later handle. If the papers are reasonably gathered but not yet sorted, the Portfolio Build is a practical starting point. The Register, Chronology and Handover suits families with a larger body of documents or a more extended family history to record.
Do we need to bring everything to your office?
Sessions take place at our Kota Kinabalu office at 15 Jalan Pantai. Families bring the papers they have — originals, photocopies, photographs of documents — and we work through them together. Fragile or large items can be handled with care; please mention these when you book.
How long does the Portfolio Build take?
The Portfolio Build spans four weeks and involves two appointments. The gap between them gives families time to locate additional papers that surface after the first session. At the end you receive a bound portfolio, a gap list, and a maintenance sheet — written so that the family can keep the portfolio accurate without further outside assistance.
What happens to our documents after the engagement ends?
Digital mirrors are placed in storage accounts that you own and control. Foldward does not retain copies of your documents beyond the engagement period. Physical papers are returned to your family at the final appointment.
Can Foldward tell us what our property or estate is worth?
No. Valuation, legal advice and financial interpretation fall in the second column — the column that belongs to registered practitioners. Foldward's orientation sheet names the types of professionals involved in inheritance matters in Sabah, and includes a directory to help you locate them.
Is the pricing fixed or does it change based on document volume?
The prices listed — RM 455, RM 1,340, and RM 3,760 — are the standard rates for each engagement. If a family's situation is substantially more complex, we discuss scope and any adjustment before you commit. There are no charges added after the session begins.
